My name is Nai-Chun Hsu. I received my Bachelor’s certificate in Computer Systems Technology (BTech) from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in year 2009. My specialty in the program was Wireless and Mobile Application Development. I also enjoy developing and administrating web and database oriented applications as I have been taking extra web developing, DBA and system analysis courses in the past few years. Some of my favorite courses include: Server-Side Scripting PHP, Intermediate Web Development & Design, System Analysis & Design Concepts, MySQL Database Design & Admin and Relational Database. I also have experience working with SQL Server 2005 as it was the main technology I used for my undergraduate Co-op program.

I am currently enrolled in the Masters of Digital Media program at the Great Northern Way Campus. At school, I am currently working as a Lead Programmer for a MDM Industry Project. I am familiar with Agile prototyping as well as Heuristic & Affordance analysis and research. Outside of school, I am also working as a Web Developer and Database Administrator in a leading distributor/online retailer and manufacturer based in Delta, B.C. The technologies I use at work are mainly PHP, CSS, HTML, MySQL and Adobe Photoshop. I am responsible for re-designing the website, updating & maintaining the database, installing new modules and setting up & testing site instances on WampServer 2.0 localhost. I also practice and work with some of the SEO techniques (title and meta tags, rich contents, Google webmaster guidelines, XML sitemaps…etc) as well as some of the social networks.
